Join our upcoming Washington State Academy webinar! We anticipate this webinar will be approved for 1 hour CPEU.

February 4, 2026

@ 12 noon PT

Join us for a focused webinar designed to help Washington dietitians become effective advocates during the 2026 legislative session. We’ll provide a clear overview of how the legislative process works in Olympia, what to expect this year, and how your professional voice can influence food, nutrition, and public health policy.

We’ll highlight key issues and bills to watch — including HB 2088, which proposes a dietitian licensure compact to improve access to nutrition services across state lines. You’ll learn why this bill matters and how dietitians can support smarter licensure and care-access policies.

The session will conclude with practical guidance for building your personal advocacy plan, from contacting legislators to tracking bills, and preparing for our 2027 in-person advocacy event in Olympia. Whether you’re new to policy or looking to deepen your involvement, this webinar will equip you to take meaningful action for a healthier Washington.

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.

This year, we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration, professional engagement, and meaningful connections at both the state and district levels. As our profession continues to evolve locally and nationally, we remain committed to supporting our members through education, advocacy, and community.

Please stay connected through our website, social media, and monthly e-blasts for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working alongside all of you this year.

Ginger Hultin (2026-27 Washington State President)
