Position Description:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in nutrition and may teach graduate courses in their areas of expertise. Courses taught at the undergraduate level may include (but are not limited to): introduction to nutrition, nutrition professionalism, sports nutrition, controversies in nutrition, quantity foods and food service management. This position is expected to be renewed on an annual basis. Assuming Fall 2021 will be in-person, relocation to Ellensburg is required. Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in a relevant discipline (ABDs will be considered) Teaching experience Research, teaching, service or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU’s commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students
Desired Qualifications:
Evidence of ability to teach successfully at the undergraduate level History of scholarly activity Credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) Experience working in a diverse environment and/or utilizing a variety of teaching methods designed for broad student success. Experience or interest in mentoring students from a variety of backgrounds. Research, teaching, or service that demonstrates an ability to contribute to CWU‘s commitment to inclusion and diversity. Demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for students through teaching and/or mentoring activities.
