During this 60 minute webinar, dietitians will be able to describe the four critical times to assess, provide, adjust and refer for diabetes self-management education/ support, and MNT as described in the position statement. They will be able to list five guiding principles of initial and ongoing DSME/S. Dietitians will also be able to list the benefits of DSME and will be able to identify resources that support the implementation of the Joint Position Statement on DSME.

Objectives:

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the 4 critical times to assess, provide, adjust and refer for diabetes self-management education/support, and MNT as described in the position statement
2. List the 5 Guiding Principles of Initial and Ongoing DSME/S
3. List the benefits of diabetes self-management education
4. Identify resources that support the implementation of the Joint Position Statement on DSME
