Good Question! Answers to the Questions Most Often Asked on Farm Tours

Farm tours for professional groups, including dietitians and dietetic interns have become a valuable education opportunity for nutrition experts in the PNW.  The conversations on the tours consistently show that food and nutrition professionals are very interested in agriculture, especially the diversity of food production on farms in Oregon and the Pacific NW.  Our tour guests have asked some excellent questions and have told us in their evaluations that they appreciated the access to experts who have answered with both scientific integrity and transparency.  This webinar will bring those questions and answers from farm tours to you, right at your computer.  No need for boots and raincoat!

Speakers:  Mallory Phelan, Oregon AgLink Executive Director & Jenifer Cruickshank, OSU Extension Dairy Specialist

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.

This year, we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration, professional engagement, and meaningful connections at both the state and district levels. As our profession continues to evolve locally and nationally, we remain committed to supporting our members through education, advocacy, and community.

Please stay connected through our website, social media, and monthly e-blasts for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working alongside all of you this year.
