ADA Foundation Announces $35,000 Research Grant

ADA Foundation Research Endowment Grant:
Lifestyle Interventions for Childhood Overweight and Obesity Prevention

The ADA Foundation Research Endowment was established by the contributions of ADA members and friends to support food and nutrition research by ADA members.

Purpose/Objective:
The ADA Foundation encourages submission of applications from ADA Members that explore lifestyle interventions which can reduce the risk of development of childhood overweight and obesity by focusing on nutrition and physical activity.

Funds Available:
A one year grant of up to $35,000 is available to ADA Members.

Eligible Institutions:
· For-profit or non-profit acute care hospitals or acute-care healthcare systems.
· Public or private institutions, such as universities, colleges and physician practice groups.

Key Dates::
July 1, 2010 – Application deadline
November 1, 2010 – Award decision (announcement at FNCE)
