WSDA/ODA - The Spring HOD Scoop

  • Event
  • Monday, April 18, 2011
Details:
Please join your Delegates from Oregon and Washington (Annie Frederick, RD, CD, CNSD, DOPC and Kimra Hawk, RD, LD) to learn about the upcoming Spring House of Delegates (HOD) meeting. At the Spring HOD meeting your delegates will be identifying professional issues facing the profession. The identification of mega issues is one of the Core Functions of the House of Delegates (HOD). Learn what is a “Mega Issue” and how it becomes a part of the HOD dialogue.

Nutrition is a buzz word and as more focus is placed on prevention and wellness, the opportunity for RDs and DTRs grows…but so does the competition from other healthcare professionals and self-proclaimed experts to infiltrate the healthcare field. How can we respond to the dynamic work environment to become and remain relevant and viable? Market Relevance is the second issue to be discussed at the Spring HOD meeting.

Date: Monday, April 18, 2011

Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM PDT

We anticipate that 1 hour CPEU will be approved

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.

This year, we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration, professional engagement, and meaningful connections at both the state and district levels. As our profession continues to evolve locally and nationally, we remain committed to supporting our members through education, advocacy, and community.

Please stay connected through our website, social media, and monthly e-blasts for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working alongside all of you this year.

Ginger Hultin (2026-27 Washington State President)
