  • Wednesday, March 18, 2009
Details:
Life’s challenges make eating together more difficult; yet researchers continue to verify the far-reaching value of family meals.

Join associate professor Jayne Fulkerson and registered dietitian Martha Marino as they present research on family mealtime. They will discuss obstacles to shared meals and identify the nutritional, social, academic, and psychological benefits of eating together as a family. Jayne and Martha will share tips and resources that you can use to promote this positive habit among your target audience.

Jayne Fulkerson, PhD, is the Co-Director for the Center for Child and Family Health Promotion Research and Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota. Martha Marino is Director of Nutrition Affairs Communications for Washington State Dairy Council.
