Nutrition Network Training Application Due October 11th

Dear Colleague,

If you provide medical nutrition therapy to children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) in Washington State or are looking for additional training and are not already a member of the Nutrition Network, you are cordially invited to apply for our 2-day Nutrition Network Training. This will be held on Thursday-Friday, February 6-7, 2025 and will be virtual, via Zoom (not recorded).

Application Deadline: Friday, October 11, 2024. Attached to this email are the Application (2 pages) and tentative agenda (2 pages).

This training organized by the University of Washington Institute on Human Development & Disability with funds from the Washington State Department of Health Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program. There is no cost to attending this program.

After attending this 2-day training, you will become a Nutrition Network member. Member benefits include:

  • Free, annual CE (~7 CEs) events, specific to nutrition for children and youth with special health care needs (this 2-day training is worth ~13.0 CEUs)
    • Annual webinar (2-3 hours)
    • Annual meeting (1 full day)
    • Journal club webinar
  • Access to Nutrition Network Portal
    • Post nutrition questions to other Nutrition Network members
    • Access handouts to past Nutrition Network presentations
    • Share and access nutrition resources
  • Contribute to the state's needs assessment concerning access to nutrition services for children and youth with special health care needs

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.
