Details:

It is time once again for members to indicate their interest in volunteering on national committees and task forces. The “Opportunities to Serve” survey is now available online at:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/R5QC6N8

Individuals interested in volunteering to serve must complete this survey by *January 20, 2022*.  A description of each committee is available via a link in the “Opportunities to Serve” survey.

We are seeking individuals with the necessary qualifications who also allow us to meet the Academy’s IDEA philosophy and Action Plan.

The information provided when completing this survey will be critical to the incoming president and speaker as they make appointments for the various Academy committees for the 2022-2023 program year. Although they cannot ensure that everyone who completes the survey will be selected to serve, every effort will be made to consider your unique talents during the appointment process.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey, please contact Marsha Schofield at mschofield@eatright.org or 1-800-877-1600 ext. 1762.

WSAND President

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.

This year, we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration, professional engagement, and meaningful connections at both the state and district levels. As our profession continues to evolve locally and nationally, we remain committed to supporting our members through education, advocacy, and community.

Please stay connected through our website, social media, and monthly e-blasts for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working alongside all of you this year.

Ginger Hultin (2026-27 Washington State President)
