Food accessibility in Washington State is championed by policy and local leaders working to build food systems bringing farm fresh foods to tables. State and federal frameworks provide funding for programs like Basic Food and the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs but the link to supporting local agriculture is critical to building a sustainable food infrastructure. Join our expert panel, Bianca Smith, RDN with OSPI, Chris Iberle from the Department of Agriculture and local Farmer/Advocate Siri Erickson-Brown to learn how RDNs can support the availability, access, and utilization of local foods.
