Position Description:

We are currently recruiting volunteer Registered Dietitians for our Summer 2026 camp sessions at Black Diamond Camp in Auburn, WA.

Camp Leo provides a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where children with Type 1 diabetes can build confidence, connection, and independence. Our dietitian volunteers play an important role in supporting nutrition, diabetes management, and overall camper wellbeing throughout the camp experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Washington State
• Interest in diabetes care and pediatric nutrition
• Experience working with children and/or individuals living with Type 1 diabetes preferred
• Comfortable working in a collaborative overnight camp environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in diabetes education or pediatric nutrition
• Familiarity with Type 1 diabetes management and carbohydrate counting
• Passion for supporting children and families living with Type 1 diabetes
• Experience working in team-based or camp environments
• CDCES credential or interest in diabetes-focused care preferred
