Subject: Leadership Opportunities within the Academy

It is time once again for members to indicate their interest in volunteering on national committees and task forces. The “Opportunities to Serve” survey is now available online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HRPCW6J

Please note that a description of each committee is available via a link in the “Opportunities to Serve” survey. Members already appointed to serve on an Academy committee or task force for 2019-2020 do not need to complete the Opportunities to Serve Survey. Instead, we ask that you share this information with colleagues who may be interested in volunteering on an Academy committee or task force.

The information you provide when completing this survey will be critical to Terri J. Raymond, MA, RDN, CD, FAND, President-elect, and Diane W. Heller, MMSc, RDN, LD, FAND, Speaker-elect, as they make appointments for the various Academy committees and task forces throughout the 2019-2020 program year. Although we cannot ensure that everyone who completes the survey will be selected to serve, every effort will be made to consider your unique talents during the appointment process.

Members should complete this survey by January 9, 2019.

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Welcome to the 2026-2027 membership year! As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening the organizational structure of our Academy, supporting modernization and innovation within the field of dietetics, and fostering a strong, connected community of nutrition professionals across Washington.

This year, we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration, professional engagement, and meaningful connections at both the state and district levels. As our profession continues to evolve locally and nationally, we remain committed to supporting our members through education, advocacy, and community.

Please stay connected through our website, social media, and monthly e-blasts for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working alongside all of you this year.

Ginger Hultin (2026-27 Washington State President)
