Course Description
Pediatric experts from the fields of medicine and nutrition will highlight issues related to best practices for
pediatric health care providers related to nutritional management for their patients and families

Course Objectives
Participants will be able to:
• diagnosis vitamin and mineral deficiencies in children with normal growth and in malnourished states
• demonstrate the role of nutrition in cognitive development during infancy and childhood
• examine the use of herbal supplements in the care of pediatric patients
