Originally from the west side of Washington State, Sophie came to dietetics on a circuitous route through a Sociology degree with an emphasis in Public Health, the culinary arts, and subsequent work with both the City of Seattle and the WA State Department of Health on food access initiatives at Washington State's farmers markets. She completed her Masters degree at the University of Washington, graduating in 2016 and moving straight away to Spokane to begin as a Critical Care per diem at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
