Member meetings are, unless otherwise stated, the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm in our temporary meeting space at the conference room inside of PCI Pest Control located at 2812 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501.

Sustainability on the Plate: Dietitians as Climate Champions
Featuring guest speaker Mary Purdy, MS, RDN - Integrative & Functional Eco-Dietitian
Event available via Zoom from the comfort of your own home or join us at our in person watch party!
Mary will join us via Zoom to present a variety of information on this topic including
- Learn more about environmental/sustainable nutrition practices.
- How we as dietitians can help reduce food waste and support sustainable packaging practices.
- The benefits of providing/implementing plant based options.
Mary has a wide range of experience to glean from. She currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at Bastyr University, teaching in both the Nutrition and Naturopathic departments as well as the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine department. She is the host of "The Nutrition Show" podcast and a Trained Climate Reality Leader. Prior to becoming a dietitian, Mary had a career in New York City as an actor, including stand up comedy!

Join us as we kickoff the new year, brunch style! Bring your favorite brunch item to share. Rachel Carns from Magic Kombucha will be joining us to help us learn how to decipher commercial kombucha nutrition and ingredient labels. Kombucha tasting to follow and door prizes too!
