Member meetings are, unless otherwise stated, the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm in our temporary meeting space at Ideal Wellness located at 404 Yauger Way SW Unit 150, Olympia, WA 98502.
Please join us as we learn more about:
- The role of the RD, SLP, and other key professionals in the end-of-life care.
- Advocating for care goals of patients in end-of-life.
- Using evidence-based interventions to support eating and drinking in the end-of-life.
Monica Vinson is a medical speech-language pathologist at Mason General Hospital. She received her graduate degree at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon with a specialized Gerontology certification. As a credentialed Certified Dementia Practitioner, she is passionate about serving patients with dementia and supporting their caregivers. Her research interests include educating students about the important role speech-language pathologists play in the care of patient in the end-of-life.
Dinner will be provided before the presentation as well. We hope to see you all there!
