Position: President
Term: Elected by membership – 1 year president-elect/1 year president
Qualifications:

Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

Member of the North Sound Dietetic Association (NSDA)
General Duties of all NSDA Board Members:

Attend all board meetings, events and professional development meetings.

Contribute to the Fall Newsletter.

Assist with social media, advertising and email, as needed.

Assist Nominating chair with recruitment and orientation of your position for the following year.

Assist in recruiting sponsors.

Perform any additional duties as directed by the BOD.
General Duties:
-
Oversee all aspects of NSDA.

Maintain up to date job descriptions and NSDA bylaws.

Board Meetings:
-
Set date, time, and location of all board meetings and coordinate with board members.

Share meeting agenda with board prior to meetings.

Lead board meeting.
-
Professional Development Meetings:
-
Reserve venue for all meetings of the membership year.

Give venue a head count two days in advance, if it looks like it will be <30 or >40, they estimate 35 people.

Bring board member name tags to meetings.

Assist in set-up and break-down for the meeting.

Make announcements and introduce speaker.

Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (WSAND):
-
Attend monthly conference calls.

Attend annual meeting (prior to the start of the annual educational conference).

Attend WSAND annual educational conference, as able, and provide a raffle basket from NSDA members.

Update WSAND of NSDA activities monthly, quarterly, yearly, as required.

Work with Nominating Chair and WSAND’s Awards Chair to advertise WSAND awards and scholarships to NSDA members.

Ensure adequate sponsorship to maintain a healthy financial status.

Regularly check the NSDA email account. Respond to emails or forward emails onto the appropriate board members.

Create CPEU certificates for board members at the end of the membership year.
