Position Description

This Clinical Dietitian position establishes the standards and methodologies of medical nutrition therapy for patients and staff and delivers direct patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and Registered Dietitian status (RD / RDN) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration
•Washington State Certification
•Specialty board certifications as needed per area & assignment
•Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences
•An understanding of therapeutic nutrition
•A working knowledge of safety and sanitation practices for food science

Desired Qualifications

Counseling skills, the ability to negotiate, work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and strong math skills.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Excellent problem solving skills
•A Master's Degree is preferred. Two years of experience in an acute care hospital; OR an advanced degree plus one year of acute care experience and one year of outpatient experience are also preferred.
