 What You Need to Know About SIBO and FODMAPS

Join us in the New Year for our March Professional Development meeting on Tuesday,  March 13th, 2018.

Do you have questions about small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols (FODMAPs)? Are you curious about the evidence behind the low FODMAP diet, and how it can be used to help your patients with SIBO?  If so, please join us for our March Professional Development Meeting on Tuesday, March 13th to hear Selva Wohlgemuth, MS, RDN, CDN discuss what nutrition professionals need to know about SIBO and FODMAPs.

About the Speaker:

Selva Wohlgemuth, MS, RDN, CDN is a Clinical Nutrition Registered Dietitian and owner of Happy Belly Nutrition LLC in Bellingham, WA.  As a private practice RD, Selva specializes in functional medicine and integrative nutrition, gut health, and the low FODMAP diet.  She is the author and photographer of the whole-foods blog Poppies and Papayas, as well as the Co-Founder and Low FODMAP Recipe Manager of the website GutRx Gurus.  She is also the author of the Bellingham Co-Op’s “Ask the Nutritionist” column, and she regularly contributes recipes and articles to various publications including Food & Nutrition Magazine’s Stone Soup Blog, Chickpea Magazine, and the Bastyr University Newsletter.  Selva received her Master’s in Nutrition at Bastyr University in 2014.  She was recently recognized as one of the top 10 Best Holistic Nutritionists for the 2017-2018 year by Diet Spotlight.

NSDA will be collecting items at our March Professional Development Meeting to put together a raffle basket themed ‘NSDA Member’s Favorite Local Snacks’ to be raffled off at the WSAND Educational Conference in April.
