About the Speaker:

Dr. Wade is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Bothell in the School of Nursing and Health Studies.  He received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Wesleyan University, and later a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Dr. Wade completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Human Genome Research Institute in a dual position with the Social and Behavioral Research Branch and the Genome Technology Branch.  Dr. Wade’s research integrates genomics, public health, and social science research methodology to explore how individualized genomic information can be provided to the public in ways that maximize social and health benefits.
